Al-Buraq Wall represents the southwestern section of Al-Aqsa\u00a0Mosque\u2019s wall, some 50 meters in length and approximately 20\u00a0meters in height. It is part of Al-Aqsa Mosque and considered<\/span>
\nan Islamic property. \u00a0The Jews now call it \u201cThe Wailing Wall\u201d\u00a0claiming it is the remaining part of their destroyed Temple. At\u00a0least until the 15th Century Jews used to pray at the Mount\u00a0of Olives which is separated from the Old City by the Kidron\u00a0Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Muslim tradition this is the wall where Prophet\u00a0Mohammad (PBUH) tied his winged creature, Al-Buraq, before\u00a0ascending to heaven on his journey from Mecca to Jerusalem (Al<\/em>Isra\u2019 wa Al-Mi\u2019raj), where he received his revelations of Islam and\u00a0lead the other prophets in prayer.<\/span><\/p>\n
